This Week's Stewardship Message:

What percentage does God ask of me as a good steward?  All of my heart, all of my soul, all of my mind, and all of my strength!

                         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you to everyone who made our  Holy Week and Easter Triduum special:  our priests, altar servers, lectors, ushers, gift bearers, Eucharistic ministers, sacristans, choir, those who cleaned and decorated the church, and mowed the lawn.  You are deeply appreciated!
PCCW News:
We are collecting items for The Freedom's Rest Family Violence Center in Ozark, Missouri.  They help adults and children in crisis until they are able to leave the Center.  Donations of laundry supplies, cleaning supplies, women's and children's clothing, baby items, etc, are needed.  There is a collection basket in the back of church for donations.  Thank you!
The 160th Anniversary of the founding of St. Benedict Church:
This year - 2019 - is the 160th Anniversary of the founding of St. Benedict Church.  In the Spring of 1859, Father John Hogan was attending to a settlement of 200 Irish immigrants when the first wooden church, named in honor of St. Benedict, was built in what would later become known as the "Irish Wilderness".  Parish celebrations are planned for later this year. St. Benedict's Poor Box
Thank you to all who support the poor box!  100 percent of current donations to the poor box are given to a local charity, Ripley County Backpacks for Friday Program, which works in cooperation with the SEMO Food Bank and local schools to send home each weekend a backpack filled with non-perishable snacks and other foods for students in need and their families.  A donation of $350 feeds a family of four during an entire school year.  Even a few dollars could make a difference in the life of a hungry child!
Eucharistic Adoration on Saturdays:   Every Saturday 7:30-11:30 PM.  First Saturday of each month 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
Everyone is encouraged to come and spend quiet time with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament during Eucharistic Adoration.  Even if you aren't able to stay for a full hour, please consider time in prayer with the Blessed Sacrament, even if it's only a few moments. Eucharistic Devotion and The Real Presence of Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist (USCCB links)
