Am I as persistent in prayer as I am in pursuing other goals? Does God's apparent lack of response invite me to greater trust and perseverance rather than to question his goodness? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you to everyone who attended the Blessing of the New Parish Hall and Celebration of the 160th Anniversary of the founding of St. Benedict Church. More History--> For info about renting the Hall, contact Parish Office 573-351-1107.

St. Benedict's Poor Box
Thank you to all who support the poor box! 100 percent of current donations to the poor box are given to a local charity, Ripley County Backpacks for Friday Program, which works in cooperation with the SEMO Food Bank and local schools to send home each weekend a backpack filled with non-perishable snacks and other foods for students in need and their families. A donation of $350 feeds a family of four during an entire school year. Even a few dollars could make a difference in the life of a hungry child! In 2019, we have sponsored 2 families! Thank you!!
Resumes Sat. May 23, 2020: Eucharistic Adoration on Saturdays: Every Saturday 7:30-9:30 PM. First Saturday of each month 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
Everyone is encouraged to come and spend quiet time with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament during Eucharistic Adoration. Even if you aren't able to stay for a full hour, please consider time in prayer with the Blessed Sacrament, even if it's only a few moments.
